Dawn Connor – President (Globe University, Wisconsin)
Dawn Connor has been elected President of Students for Academic Choice and is excited to get the association off and running with clear ideas and strong leadership. She attends Globe University in Eau Claire, WI, and she has become an active member of the student community. She is currently the Student Ambassador for the Veterinary Technology program, as well as President of the Veterinary Technology Club, where she frequently gives presentations to new students and participates in class discussions. As President of the association, Dawn will work to create a first class website for expressing ideas and promoting issues, as well as to oversee a quarterly newsletter and make efforts to start student association chapters at career colleges throughout the country. Ronald Robertson – Vice President (Keiser University, Florida)
Ronald Robertson has been elected Vice President and has much to offer to ensure that the association meets and exceeds its goals. As a nursing student at Keiser University in Tampa, FL, Ronald serves as President of the Student Government Association. In this capacity, he has instituted numerous programs to improve student life on campus, including starting tutoring sessions for students and implementing fundraiser drives in conjunction with businesses throughout the community. Ronald ultimately plans to attend medical school, and his personal drive for success shows that he will bring a great deal of energy and determination to the association. Amy Newman – Secretary (Bryan College, Missouri)
Amy Newman is serving as the association’s Secretary, where she will put her organizational skills to good use. A student in the Medical Assisting program at Bryan College in Springfield, MO, Amy is currently the Vice President of her school’s Medical Club, where she coordinates events. She has maintained a strong presence in her community from an early age, working as an equestrian instructor for handicapped children, a lifeguard, motivational speaker, and nursing home volunteer. She believes that it is very important to give back to those around her, and her can-do attitude will go a long way in helping the association meet the ideals of its mission statement.
